My name is Dr. David Lawhead. I am very excited about joining the team at Creekwood Chiropractic and providing care to the great community of West Point! I am happy to be able to introduce myself and share my philosophy of care with you.

I grew up in Mt. Ayr, a small town in Southwest Iowa which my parents still call home. I have one older sister who is also a Chiropractor, currently practicing with her husband in Missouri Valley, IA. They were the first to introduce me to Chiropractic. Both were attending Chiropractic College when I was beginning to look for guidance and direction for my life, and it didn’t take much convincing for me to see that they were doing something special. Once I saw and experienced Chiropractic for myself and began to see how much power is within the body with all that it does and accomplishes, I knew that Chiropractic was what I wanted to do. My sister and I are the first Chiropractors of a family with 3 generations of dentists. Growing up in a small town, I developed a strong appreciation for community, which I feel is very important to establish within a practice.

In 2002, I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, IA. After graduating, I opened a clinic in Glenwood, IA, and provided care to that community for close to three years. I then moved with my wife to Minnesota, and practiced in the Minneapolis area for close to 5 years. The techniques that I specialize in are Palmer Package (a technique that combines Gonstead, Diversified and Thompson) and Activator. I have also had experience with exercise and rehabilitation procedures that help you get the most from your Chiropractic adjustment.

My wife, Paula, and I moved to Pilger, Nebraska as she accepted a call as pastor to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pilger and St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Stanton. We are glad to be in this area and I’m proud to be working with Creekwood Chiropractic, where I can provide whole-person care. I am passionate about not only helping patients feel better and staying healthy, but also really getting to know them as individuals. My goal is to help each patient live his/her life the best way he/she can through Chiropractic care, exercise, and proper nutrition.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!
